Zombie Additional Tips, Rules and Executive Decisions
- It is ok if "off the clock" employees tag "on the clock" employees.
- If there are other employees around but don't witness your tag, that is legal. However, if residents are around, it is illegal.
- If you try to tag your victim but they see you coming and they dodge you (but know they know you are trying to get them), you cannot switch victims. Use creativity to try to tag them without them seeing you coming. Ask coworkers for suggestions.
- When you get tagged, wear your "I'm a Zombie" sticker with pride. The residents know we are playing and want to know who has gotten tagged out.

Hello Zombie Players-
By now you should have all received your assignments and Zombie stickers. If you have not, let me know.
Game starts at 7am on Monday, January 16th.
If you have any questions or need me to settle a dispute, let me know.
My word is final – no arguments, k?
I’ll be sending out messages with results at the end of each day.
Have an awesome time, be sneaky, use your creativity, and don’t get Zombified.

Zombie Attack
The game starts at 7:00am on Monday, January 16th
RULE OF THE GAME
Purpose:
To be the last player who has not been turned into a Zombie.
How does it work?
Everyone will be given a registration envelope with Zombie Stickers, and instruction sheet, and a Popsicle stick with the name of a player. That name is your “Victim”. Your goal is to turn that player into a Zombie.
How do you turn someone into a Zombie?
All you need to do to turn someone into a Zombie is to stick the “I am a zombie” sticker on your victim.
What are the special rules?
In order to turn someone into a Zombie, there cannot be any “observers”. If anyone sees you put the zombie sticker on your victim, then you are out of the game and have to report to the Director.
Places you cannot do a zombie attack:
-
In the bathroom -- ick. Respect privacy people!
-
When someone is with a resident or family member, guest, visitor, or anybody who is not an employee
-
USE COMMON SENSE
What do you do if you have successfully turned someone into a Zombie?
You need to notify the victim that they are now a zombie. (They might not realize that you have tagged and stickered them). Both the victim and the attacker need to notify The Director of the outcome – who is in the game still and who is out of the game. The victim in now out of the game and will give the attacker their own Popsicle stick with their victim’s name. You can now hunt their victim.
How can you avoid a Zombie attack?
-
You can move away from someone who looks suspicious
-
You can hide out in your office (however, note that this might actually make you more vulnerable to Zombie attack if there are no observers around).
-
You can stay around large groups of people.
-
If you think you are about to be attacked, if you put both hands on a wall, you cannot be turned into a zombie. However, once your hands come off the wall, you are vulnerable again.
-
Keep your eyes peeled for someone who appears to be trying to get you alone for a strange reason, is lurking in the background, or is visiting you with a different pattern than what they usually do.
Who is the Director and what is her role?
Beth Grigg is the Director. Her role is to keep the game going, organize zombie assignments, and be there for any support. Please report any Zombie attacks immediately to The Director. Also, if you need help during the game, come see The Director for guidance.
ONCE YOU ARE ZOMBIFIED: Please have respect for the other Zombies and the integrity of the game by not talking about the game. Don't tell anyone (except for The Director, of course) who zombified you or who your target was. Remember, people aren't supposed to know who else is playing. Just don't talk about it.
The Director will step in if rules aren’t followed. If you play dirty, have a bad attitude, talk about Zombies in a public forum, forget that work comes first, play the game in front of a resident, prospective resident, visitor, guest, or non-staff, or tick The Director off, The Director will turn you into a Zombie and you will be removed from the game.
Who are the players in the game?
It could be anyone. That’s part of the fun. You might not know who the person is that you are assigned to. It’s your duty to get to know who that person is in order to be able to zombify them.
Remember –
-
Do not tell anybody if you are playing the game.
-
Use Common Sense.
-
We are still at work and should always keep that in mind.
-
Just for fun, I will keep everyone posted regularly about who has been eliminated from the game.
Have fun, get to know your colleagues, and don’t get Zombified!!!!
